Sept. 9th, 2008 ( 15)

Hi everyone!
I made it through the second type of Chemo. WAHOO!! It took us 7 hours and was a really long day. They needed to drip it in slow to make sure I did not have a reaction to it. I also started HERCEPTIN yesterday! That was so awesome to see that drug going into my body. I did not have any reactions to the drugs yesterday. By last night my face was really red and a little puffy. Steroids. But today, it is gone. So far today, I do not even notice I had chemo yesterday. That is good.
The Taxol I am on now until November can cause bone pain and neuropothy(SP). I am praying I don't get either of course! I ate my way through my house last night. I suppose that was the steroids..LOL... I had brownies and ice cream.. and really.. everything else I could find..:)...so far today.. not hungry.. but that could be because I ate for two days yesterday.

I got to see my grandkids twice this weekend( and my whole family...lol)... it was so fun! They are growing so fast.. Landon would rather "high five" now than kiss... :(.. and Caleigh will be walking soon.. Time flies!
Thank you Chris and Joi for bringing out all that chili and dessert! I froze the chili and it will make my family two extra dinners this month. THANK YOU !!!!

Thank you for leaving me notes on my blog! It is nice to get up each day and see I have a note or two from you. Nice to keep in touch and know you are keeping tabs on me too!

Here is a picture ( not too good) of my Herceptin yesterday. I just stared at it for a long time thanking God it was available for women like me.

Here are a few pictures of me and the grandkids.. Also, this is yet another of my wigs... Taylor likes this one the best...:)

I hope you all have a fantastic week!

I'm so excited that you are still feeling good! AWESOME!

I've been thinking about you today knowing you were at the hospital starting your new meds.

Wish we were closer so I could hug you!

Have a great week!

You look great! Those babies are so cute and huggable, no wonder you miss not being able to see them so much.

I'm glad everything went well on Monday. Hope it continues. If you need anything let me know.

I am now wearing a 'pink' bracelet in your honor and have window clings in our car windows in support of Breast Cancer Awareness.
